Oradell was recently named one of NJ's Best Towns for Families by NJ Family magazine in 2016. Despite its unassuming size (just 2.5 square miles), Oradell offers many amenities into a very small package. With a picturesque, walkable downtown, a beautiful waterfront overlooking the Oradell Reservoir, lovely parks, top-rated schools, close to the malls in Paramus and an easy commute into NYC via NJ Transit buses and trains, it's a great place to raise a family.

Downtown, young parents are a familiar sight at Cool Beans, the town’s center-of-everything coffee shop. Mommy groups meet there in the morning.  Just a few doors down, the Bergen County Players perform in a converted firehouse and put on both adult theatre and children’s shows every year. And down the street, the 100-year-old, recently renovated Oradell Public Library hosts storytimes, music programs and parties in a gorgeous turn-of-the-century setting.  Its housing stock includes older center hall colonials and Victorians, as well as many split levels and ranches and updated larger homes in both the Latchstring and Country Club sections of town.  It's the heart of Bergen County, and a treasure of a town to discover!
